About FG1 Plywood
FG1 Flooring Grade Plywood is developed specifically for the purpose of flooring underlay and exceeds the necessary industry standards and requirements as outlined by the CFA and BSI.
The flooring industry acknowledges and recognises the need for a plywood which has been manufactured to a clear specification and is guaranteed for all flooring applications.
Meranti and Mersawa is used to manufacture FG1 where strength and durability is a priority. With 1.3mm top and reverse veneers FG1 is the most stable plywood on the market.
We have invested heavily in the latest computerised and automated "Meinam" peeling technology, so there is no need to check the veneer thicknesses manually.
The drying system is fitted with sensors measuring the moisture content of each veneer sheet as it comes out. Having also purchased a "Kilkugawa" sensor machine, which is located at the output of the sander has a dual function as follows:
- Scanning the sheets for any delamination or core failure.
- Measuring the thickness of each sheet after sanding. Any sheet out of the tolerance range will cause the sheet to be removed.
Available in a wide range of thicknesses and cut sizes, being excellent value for money and the best flooring grade plywood on the market, exceeding all current industry standards.

The Goal of FG1 Plywood
FG1 Flooring Grade Plywood was created with the sole goal in mind to exceed all plywood that came before it and be an industry leading product.
After working with industry leaders to help develop the specification, we then set out to find a factory that could meet our high standards for both quality and consistency.
Once this was achieved we then introduced FG1 Flooring Grade Plywood into the UK market. The rest from there is history with FG1 now being widely adopted across the industry as a leading product in quality and reliability.
We will strive to keep being industry leaders for quality plywood products for years to come.
